Delicious Yogurt Cake Recipe


For 15 people

  • ‎3 cups all-purpose flour
  • ‎3 tsp baking powder‎
  • ‎½ tsp salt‎
  • ‎1½ cups sugar‎
  • ‎1½ cups yogurt‎
  • ‎1 cup vegetable oil‎
  • ‎4 large eggs‎
  • ‎1 tsp vanilla extract‎
  • To serve:‎
  • ‎150 g sifted powdered sugar
  • ‎4 tbsp milk‎
  • ‎1 tsp vanilla extract‎
  • ‎1 cup red berries‎
  • ‎1 cup blueberries‎
  • Fresh mint


Preheat the oven to 180⁰‎C and coat a loaf pan with some butter and sprinkle with flour.‎

In a medium bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt. Leave aside.‎

Combine eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, oil and yogurt in the cowl of your kitchen machine.‎

Using the whisk attachment, whisk the ingredients until combined.‎

Fold in flour mixture gradually whisking on low speed until combined.‎

Pour the mixture in the pan and bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle of ‎the cake comes out clean.‎

Remove cake from oven and allow to cool to room temperature. ‎

Place sifted sugar and vanilla extract in a small bowl. Pour milk gradually until you get a smooth ‎pourable glaze.‎

Pour mixture over cake and decorate with red berries, blueberries and mint.‎
