For 6 people

  • Fresh yeast: 3 tablespoons (21 g)
  • Fine semolina: 2 ¼ cups (280 g)
  • Flour: 1 cup (125 g)
  • Salt: 1 teaspoon (4 g)
  • Water: 3 ¾ cups (470 g)
  • Eggs: 3
  • Milk; 1 ¼ cups
  • Oil for frying
  • Butter: 1/3 cup
  • Honey for serving


Melt the yeast in 2 tablespoons of lukewarm water in a small bowl. Cover the bowl and leave in a warm place for 15 minutes.

Mix the semolina, flour and salt in the Moulinex Masterchef Gourmet stainless steel bowl and add the eggs.

Add the milk and the boiling water while continuously mixing. Pour the yeast mixture and blend again for 5 more minutes.

Move the batter to a bowl, cover with a wet tissue and leave aside for 2 hours.

Grease a frying pan with some oil and heat it. Pour some of the pancake mixture in it. Leave for 2 minutes until the surface is bubbly.

Remove the baghrir from heat and serve warm with honey and jam.
