Apple pie recipe
For 8 people
- 1 ready-made crust
- To prepare the filling:
- 1 egg
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup small-curd cottage cheese
- 3 peeled, cored and thinly sliced apples
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Fit the pie crust gently in a pie dish. Preheat the oven to 180⁰C.
In your kitchen machine, combine cottage cheese, egg, flour, sugar, heavy cream and vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
Layer the cottage cheese mixture on the pie crust.
Top with apple slices circling the center of the pie and sprinkle with ground cinnamon.
Bake the pie for 45 minutes or until wooden skewer inserted comes out clean.
Serve immediately or chill and serve alongside coffee.
