For 4 people
- To prepare the biscuits crust:
- 300 g crushed biscuits
- 3 tbsp melted butter
- To prepare the cream cheese layer:
- 1½ cups cream cheese
- 1 tbsp powder sugar
- 1 cup whipping cream
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- To prepare the mohallabia layer:
- 1 cup + 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2½ tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp rose water
- To garnish:
- Crushed pistachios
- Orange blossom
To prepare the biscuits crust: In a bowl, combine crushed biscuits and melted butter.
Spread in a spring form pan and refrigerate for 2 hours.
To prepare the cream cheese layer: In the kitchen machine, combine cream cheese, whipping cream, powder sugar and vanilla extract.
Whisk the mixture until it’s creamy and ingredients are combined. Spread on top of the biscuits layer and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
To prepare the mohallabia layer: In a saucepan over medium-low heat, combine milk, cornstarch and sugar.
Stir until the mixture is thick.
Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in rose water and leave aside to cool for few minutes.
Add the mohallabia mixture over the cream cheese layer. Refrigerate for 6 hours.
Garnish with orange blossom and crushed pistachios directly before serving.
