Fried Semolina Pastries Recipe


For 10 people

  • ‎4 cups flour‎
  • ‎4 cups semolina ‎
  • ‎6 tbsp anise seeds
  • ‎1 cup vegetable oil‎
  • ‎¼ cup sugar‎
  • ‎2 tbsp instant yeast‎
  • ‎¼ tsp salt‎
  • ‎3 cups warm milk


In Masterchef Gourmet bowl, combine flour, semolina, anise seeds, sugar, yeast and salt.‎

Add vegetable oil and mix the ingredients until combined.‎

Gradually add warm milk and knead until you get a firm smooth dough.‎

Cover the bowl with a kitchen cloth and let sit for 10 minutes.‎

Shape the dough into finger-shaped pieces. Press each piece into the sharp side of the grater and ‎roll it.‎

Deep fry until golden brown. Dip in sugar syrup while hot then serve.‎
