Yemeni falafel


For 6 people

  • Blacked eye peas (Doujra): ½ kg
  • Green chili pepper: 2 (30 g)
  • Large onion: 1 (50 g)
  • Dried coriander: 1 tablespoon
  • Flour: 2 tablespoons (30 g)
  • Oil for frying
  • Garlic: 3 cloves (10 g)
  • Salt: to taste
  • Cumin: to taste


Wash the blacked eye peas well then soak in water for 4 to 5 hours.

Chop the onion, garlic and pepper then put them in the Moulinex Masterchef Gourmet head mincer along with the peas.

Mince the ingredients well then season with coriander, salt and cumin. Mix again.

Heat the oil in a large frying pan and roll the paste into small patties.

Fry the falafel until golden brown.
